Maintenance that
keeps a site working

Technical support and maintenance from $80 a month. Backups, CMS and plugin updates, round-the-clock uptime monitoring, security, content changes and a monthly report. We take on our own sites and other people's — after a free audit of the state they are in. If you do not need a subscription we will say so, and do the work by the hour instead.

Subscription or
changes on request

Maintenance is not for everyone and not always. If the site sits unchanged for months and the business does not depend on its availability, a subscription is overpaying — and we will say that in the first conversation.

Fixed rate in the contract
01 · CASE Subscription

You need a subscription

from $80/mo

The site brings in enquiries or sales, and downtime is lost money. Content changes regularly: prices, promotions, products, news. There are CRM, payment or delivery integrations that break when something updates. And you would rather not keep track of when the last backup ran.

Best for: Online stores, sites with lead forms, corporate sites with a news feed, services with integrations
Paid on delivery
02 · CASE Pay as you go

Hourly is enough

from $35/hr

A business-card site that does not change for months, with no integrations and no part of the business depending on its availability. Changes come up a few times a year. A subscription would be overpaying — it is fairer to pay for the work actually done.

Best for: Business cards, portfolios, static landing pages, single-event sites

Eight strands of
monthly work

01

Backups

A daily copy of the files and the database, stored away from the site itself. We verify not that the copy was created but that it restores: a backup you cannot restore from is not a backup. Retention is 30 days.

An unverified backup is no backup
02

CMS and plugin updates

Core, theme and extension updates, applied to a staging copy first. We check nothing broke, and only then update the live site. An outdated extension is the single most common way a site gets compromised.

Staging first, production second
03

Uptime monitoring

An automated check every few minutes: response code, load time, SSL certificate validity. We find out the site is down, not your customers. An expired certificate breaks a site just as reliably as a server failure.

The studio should notice, not the client
04

Security and hygiene

Login attempt monitoring, scanner blocking, file integrity checks. If the site does get compromised we clean it, close the vector and submit it for review so the "dangerous site" flag comes off search results.

A hacked site drops out of search in a day
05

Content changes

Text, photos, prices, news, new pages and products, promo banners. Small changes are done within the hours in your package — no separate estimate for every comma.

Small things get done, not discussed
06

Technical work

New blocks, forms, CRM or payment integrations, layout fixes after browser updates. Anything beyond the package hours is scoped and agreed with you before work starts.

Beyond the package — only once agreed
07

SEO monitoring

Positions for your target queries, indexing status, errors in Search Console. A CMS update can quietly deindex the site or break structured data — that is only visible to whoever is watching.

An update can silently kill indexing
08

A monthly report

What was done, how many hours it took, what happened to traffic and positions, what we recommend next month. No filler, and no list of internal tickets that mean nothing to an owner.

Written for the owner, not the developer

What maintenance
costs

Three packages with a fixed monthly fee — the rate is written into the contract and does not change retroactively. What separates them is not a feature list but the hours available for changes and how fast we respond to an outage. No subscription needed? Changes on request from $35 an hour.

The full price list for every service is on the pricing page. If the site does not exist yet, start with a corporate website or an online store — the first month of support is already included.

What is not
in the subscription

This list exists so that at the end of the month there is nothing on the invoice you are hearing about for the first time.

01

Hosting and domain

You pay the provider directly: hosting from around $4 a month, a domain from around $14 a year. We help you choose and set it up, but we do not resell it or add a margin.

02

Redesign and new sections

Reworking the design or adding a large new section is a separate project with its own estimate — not "a change within the hours".

03

Paid extensions

If a task needs a commercial plugin or service we quote it in advance. Nothing gets bought without your yes.

04

Advertising budgets

Google Ads and social media management are separate services with their own rates. The budgets themselves go straight into the ad account.

Questions about
maintenance

How much does website maintenance cost? +
Three packages with a fixed monthly fee: basic from $80 a month (backups, monitoring, CMS and plugin updates, up to 2 hours of small changes), standard from $175 a month (up to 5 hours of changes, SEO monitoring, analytics, 4-hour response), premium from $350 a month (up to 10 hours of changes, full SEO monitoring, A/B tests, 1-hour response). If you do not need a subscription, changes on request are billed from $35 an hour.
Do you maintain sites you did not build? +
Yes, on the same packages. We start with a free audit: the state of the code, CMS and extension versions, whether backups exist, any traces of a compromise. If the site is in a bad way we quote getting it back into shape as a separate one-off figure first, and only then move to a monthly subscription. Charging a retainer for a site that will keep falling over every month is not honest.
What happens if I skip maintenance altogether? +
The usual pattern: nothing happens for six months, then the site goes down at the worst possible moment. The causes are always the same — an expired SSL certificate, a core compromised through an outdated extension, a hosting failure with no backup. Rebuilding from scratch costs more than a year of the subscription, and the enquiries lost during the downtime never come back.
Is there a free period after development? +
Yes. One month of technical support is included with every development package — it is a standing condition, not a promotion. That month shows the real volume of changes, so you pick a package with actual numbers in front of you.
What counts as "hours of changes", and what if they run out? +
The hours cover content and small technical tasks: text, photos, prices, products, banners, minor layout changes, form settings. If a task is bigger than the hours left, we scope it before starting and wait for your go-ahead. Unused hours do not roll over — this is a subscription to readiness, not a bundle of minutes.
How fast do you respond to an outage? +
Premium — within an hour. Standard — within four hours. Basic — on working days. In practice we usually see the site go down before the client does: uptime monitoring runs around the clock on all three packages.
Can I change or cancel the package? +
Yes, from the following month, with no penalty and no parting invoice. Hosting, domain and repository access are yours from day one — we hold nothing hostage.
