Voice AI agent
for your call centre

Picks up on the first ring, talks to callers in a natural voice, answers from your knowledge base and hands over to an operator wherever a person is needed. Nobody sits through "Please hold, your call is important to us". Every conversation comes with a text transcript.

When the phone
becomes the bottleneck

Voice costs more than text, so it is not always the right place to start. These are the situations where it pays for itself.

Calls drop out of the queue
A caller listens to hold music for two minutes and hangs up. You have already paid for that call through your ad spend — and you never even find out who it was.
Half of all calls are three questions
"How much is it?", "Do you have a free slot?", "Where is my order?". Operators repeat the same answers a hundred times a day.
Nobody answers after 6 pm
Evening and weekend calls simply disappear. In markets where people decide on the spot, that is lost revenue you never see in any report.
Operator turnover
Every month a new hire learns the ropes, makes mistakes and moves on. Knowledge has to be handed over all over again — while the agent only needs its knowledge base updated.
Nobody knows what people called about
The recordings exist, but nobody listens to them. A transcript of every call with a topic and a summary turns that pile of audio into data you can work with.
Seasonal peaks
At peak season call volume triples. Hiring people for two months is slow and expensive, while the agent scales without a single interview.

A conversation,
not a menu of buttons

01
Answers on the first ring
No queue and no "press 1". Callers explain in their own words what they are calling about, straight away.
02
Answers from your knowledge base
Prices, terms, opening hours, availability. Not from the model's general knowledge but from your own documents — and it does not make things up when they fall short.
03
Books appointments
Sees free slots in your calendar or booking system, offers options, confirms the booking and sends a confirmation.
04
Checks order status
Connected to your CRM or delivery carrier, it answers "Where is my order?" with real data instead of a promise to call back.
05
Hands over to an operator
When the question is complex, the caller is irritated or the agent has failed to understand twice, it transfers the call to a person — who sees the transcript of the conversation so far.
06
Makes outbound calls
Appointment or payment reminders, order confirmations, quality surveys — from a list and on a schedule.
07
Transcribes every call
Transcript, topic, summary and an outcome tag — straight into your CRM. Recordings stop being a dead archive.
08
Shows the numbers
How many calls it took, how many it resolved end to end, where it handed over to a person and which questions tripped it up. That is your to-do list for the knowledge base.

What happens
in that second and a half

Step 01
Your telephony passes the call to the agent
We connect to your phone system over SIP — any SIP-capable telephony works: Twilio, Vonage, Asterisk, or your carrier's SIP trunk. Your number stays the same, and nothing needs to be ported.
Step 02
Speech becomes text
Recognition handles English and other major European languages and follows the language the caller speaks. This is also where the system decides whether the line is clear enough: if it is not, the agent does not guess — it passes the call to an operator.
Step 03
The agent finds the answer
The same engine as in a text agent: retrieval from your knowledge base and, where needed, a lookup in your CRM or calendar. If a check takes longer, the agent says so: "One moment, let me look".
Step 04
The answer is spoken aloud
Speech synthesis with the tone and pace you choose. The agent handles interruptions — if the caller starts talking mid-sentence, it stops and listens instead of reading its reply to the end.
Step 05
The call lands in your CRM
Transcript, topic, summary, outcome. If the call was handed over, the operator gets the context before picking up.

Your telephony
stays yours

Your number does not change, and neither does your carrier. The agent plugs into the setup that already works.

Voice costs more
than text — here is why

PackageWhat is includedFrom
AI PROFESSIONAL A voice agent for inbound calls: SIP telephony, speech recognition and synthesis, multi-agent orchestration, extended RAG knowledge base (up to 1,000 pages), MCP integrations with your CRM, ERP or accounting system, call transcripts, an evaluation harness on your real cases and a full analytics dashboard. Timeline 35–60 days. $3,000
Text agent If you get few calls and most enquiries already arrive through chat and messengers, start with text. The same engine at under a third of the price — AI STARTER, timeline 14–25 days. $900

Voice has more moving parts: recognition, synthesis, telephony, interruptions, behaviour on a poor line. Speech recognition and synthesis minutes are billed separately — they depend on your call volume, which is why we ask about it in the brief. Monthly model usage comes on top, typically $40 to $400 depending on volume. The full package comparison is on the AI agents page.

What the voice agent
does not do

Voice is less forgiving than text: in a chat nobody notices a pause, on a call everybody does. That is why the limits here are stricter.

It does not pretend to be human: at the start of the call it says it is an AI voice assistant.
It does not struggle on through a noisy line — if it fails to understand twice, it passes the call to an operator.
It does not deal with irritated callers: frustration is a signal to hand over to a person.
It does not promise discounts, deadlines or compensation without your approval.
It does not give legal, medical or financial advice.
It does not call outside working hours or redial the same number again and again.

What we are asked
most often

Will callers realise they are talking to a machine? +
Most of the time, yes — and we do not recommend hiding it. Modern speech synthesis sounds natural, but the pause before a reply is still noticeable. An honest "You are speaking with our AI voice assistant" at the start works better than passing the agent off as an operator: when the pretence falls apart mid-call, people get far angrier than they would at an automated answer in the first place.
How long is the pause before it answers? +
The delay has three parts: recognising the speech, finding the answer and synthesising the voice. In a properly tuned system that adds up to roughly a second to a second and a half — it feels like an ordinary pause in conversation. If the agent also has to look up an order status in your systems, the pause is longer, and it says "One moment, let me check" — just as an operator would.
What about bad lines and strong accents? +
This is the main technical limitation, and we raise it before the project starts. On a noisy line recognition accuracy drops, and heavy accents or switching languages mid-sentence make it harder too. So the agent always follows one rule: if it fails to understand twice, it passes the call to an operator rather than making the caller repeat themselves a third time. We set that threshold low on purpose.
Can it make outbound calls? +
Yes — that is a separate scenario: payment or appointment reminders, quality surveys, order confirmations. But outbound calls come with their own rules: time of day, limits on repeat attempts, an easy way to opt out, and the local consent and calling rules in your market. We build all of that in, because otherwise what you get is not a service but what people rightly call spam.
Which telephony does it work with? +
Any SIP-capable telephony — which is practically all of it: Twilio, Vonage, Asterisk, or your carrier's SIP trunk. Your number stays unchanged. With a cloud PBX the connection is straightforward; with older on-premise hardware we first check what it supports, and only then commit to a timeline.
How much does a voice agent cost? +
From $3,000 — that is the PROFESSIONAL package, with a timeline of 35–60 days. Voice costs more than text not out of greed but because of the number of moving parts: speech recognition, synthesis, telephony, handling interruptions, behaviour on a poor line. Speech recognition and synthesis minutes are billed separately — they depend on your call volume, which is why we ask about it in the brief.
Will it replace our operators? +
No. It takes over the first line: routine questions, status checks, bookings and after-hours calls. Operators stop acting as an answering machine and focus on the calls that genuinely need a person. The real goal is that nobody has to hear "Please hold, your call is important to us" — not to shut down your call centre.
